Learning is easier when you have an excellent teacher. Our instructors are passionate about firearm safety they teach and bring this enthusiasm into their lessons. No matter your level of comfort or experience with firearms today, we all have the same ultimate goal and that is to successfully complete the course and be safe and knowledge firearm owners.
Non-Restricted CFSC
Are you a beginner, expert, or somewhere in between? Not to worry!
First-time licence applicants must pass the Canadian Firearms Safety Course before applying for a Possession and Acquisition Licence (PAL). After the in-class instruction, you will do a written and practical test.
Anyone 12 years or older can take the CFSC. Children under 12 can take the course, but only for educational purposes. They will not do the written or practical exams. To get a Minor's Licence to borrow and use non-restricted firearms, the minor must be between 12 and 17 years old.
Restricted CFSC
Firearm enthusiast or just want to take the next step?
Anyone wanting to own a restricted firearm (handguns, etc.) in Canada are required to successfully pass the Non restricted and restricted courses. This is a 6 hour course were we will focus on safe practices of handguns, safe storage, display, transportation and handling of restricted firearms
